What's the Future of Your Driving Range?

Traditional driving ranges are disappearing, but they shouldn’t. They are a treasure.
I remember the simple joys of going to the range as a kid. Three decades later; golf and its participants have changed. It’s challenged the old model and sadly, many businesses have closed while others are just hanging on.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. There’s a promising future for the driving range. It just has to evolve.
In 2021, bought my first driving range from an owner-operator who built it 30 years prior and was about to sell to an industrial developer. It was a special place with a rich history, but it was outdated. We were committed to bringing it back to life. Years later, the business is thriving, and I’d like to think we created a win for everyone involved. I cannot imagine seeing a warehouse in its place.
I love these facilities and it’s our charge to preserve and re-invest in them. We created Golf Ranch as a re-imagination of the driving range, to advance and celebrate the game. It’s a place to practice, unwind, and come together…to share the simple joys.

What if we could take golf back? What if we could pull it out of the Country Club and put it somewhere a little more relaxing? That’s the idea behind Golf Ranch-where everyone from the novice to the pro can work on their swing, grab a beer, and feel like they belong. The kind of place you’d want to hang out even if golf didn’t exist. Fortunately, this amazing game of ours does. And we’re ready to take it back. To celebrate our obsession, lower our handicaps, and have a ball addressing the ball. No pressure. No dress codes. Just a chance to have a good time playing the game we love. We call it Golf Lite. You’ll call it Golf Ranch

I love how friendly and welcoming of an environment Leagues is, but there is still a good amount of competition. Plus, you get unlimited balls each night you play. There is always a chance to win a prize from closest to pin or just by placing top-3 that week. Brings out the competitor in me!

You get access to Toptracer which has its flaws but overall is a good tool to use to get your stats, if you so care, or just play games. We played PGA national our first night out there and outside of learning how the system works, it was great. For now, it's the best range in the metroplex.
