Coach Brian

For the past three years, Brian has been the Head Golf Instructor at the Golf Ranch, where he specializes in teaching individual and group lessons to golfers of all ages. His teaching philosophy centers around the belief that while the core fundamentals of the golf swing are simple, each lesson should be tailored to fit the unique athletic abilities and mindsets of his students. Every lesson is designed to be fun, and his students always leave with specific swing improvement drills. As an NCAA Division III National Champion and NCAA Academic All American across all divisions, Brian brings a wealth of experience to his teaching. He is an avid player who has played 535 courses across all 50 states and 5 countries. Additionally, he has been a Nike Amateur Player Staff member for four years. Brian's commitment to excellence and passion for the game make him an invaluable asset to the Golf Ranch and an inspiring mentor to all his students.

Coach Spencer

At Golf Ranch, we believe that golf is as much about finding your unique swing as it is about perfecting the fundamentals. Coach Spencer embodies this philosophy, bringing over a decade of teaching experience and a personalized approach to every lesson. Hailing from Huntsville, Texas, Spencer graduated from Sam Houston State University with a business degree before serving our country as a proud Navy veteran. With an impressive background in caddying, he has spent 8 years working at some of the top clubs across the nation, including Whispering Pines in Trinity, TX, The Vintage Club in Palm Desert, CA, and Roaring Fork Club in Basalt, CO. This rich experience has allowed him to assist members in succeeding in their biggest tournaments. For the past 2.5 years, Spencer has served as an assistant golf professional, leveraging over a decade of teaching experience. Having shadowed some of the top teaching professionals in the country, he has honed the skills to teach golfers of all abilities, from beginners to scratch players. Spencer's teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to the golf swing. Everyone has their unique way of swinging the club to produce the best results. Focusing on key fundamentals such as where a player strikes the ground with their club, where they strike the ball on the club face, and ensuring they hit the ball far enough to play effectively, he offers personalized instruction tailored to each golfer's needs. Believing that the short game is the most crucial part of golf, Spencer likes to start at the green and work backward towards the tee. With an emphasis on fun and improvement, Coach Spencer is dedicated to helping golfers decrease their handicaps and enjoy the game more.

Coach Dave

Dave has been a Master Instructor at the Golf Ranch in Richardson, TX since 2021. Dave is a patient, encouraging and knowledgeable Golf Coach who enjoys teaching people of all abilities! Prior to joining the Instructional Staff at The Golf Ranch, he was the Director of Junior Golf at Gleneagles Country Club in Plano, TX from 2007-2021. Dave started his coaching career in 2004 and spent his first three years teaching for Hank Haney Golf with some of the most renowned instructors in D/FW. Coach Dave's rate is $135.

Coach Dan

With over 30 years teaching experience, Daniel continued in the family business, learning how to teach golf from his father, also a golf instructor. After playing college golf at Lamar University he continued playing professional golf on several mini tours including the Ben Hogan Tour and Nike Tour, now called the Korn Ferry Tour. With just a few lessons, Daniel is able to teach beginner students a basic swing, or help those that have lost their swing, recover it. Your initial lesson with Daniel will include putting, chipping, and full swing analysis. Daniel is as passionate about teaching the fundamentals to beginners as he is about teaching advanced players course management. Currently he is instructing some of the top Junior Players in the state, who have had dominating performances on the NTPGA Junior Tour.

Coach Joel

Spanning 40 years, Joel has taught in Arizona and Texas, as well as Germany where he is a member of PGA of Germany. Through his player development, Joel has had over 40 players receive scholarships, and 23 players play professionally. Joel has a passion for teaching all aspects of the game to all ages, from beginner to advanced, with a focus on correct structure. As a player Joel holds a course record of 62, with his own training coming from 8 of the Top Instructors.

Coach Makalia

Makalia has been teaching in the DFW area for the past 2 years. With over 15 years of playing experience, including collegiate golf, Makalia is able to help her students set and attain their goals. Makalia has a passion for working with juniors golfers, helping to prepare them for high school and collegiate golf.

Coach Keith

Keith is an Assistant Golf Professional at Dallas National Golf Club and a teaching professional at the Golf Ranch in Richardson. As a PGA Certified teacher that has been involved in golf instruction for a year and a half, Keith has worked junior programs, camps as well as giving individual lessons. While teaching all aspects of the game, Keith specializes in irons and short game. Coach Keith's rate is $75.
